Patent Protection
In Australia, for example, innvoation patents provide a maximum fo 8 years of protection for inventions that are ont sufficiently inventive to meet the inventive threshold required for standard paetnts. A highly notable international convention related to patents is the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property which was initially agreed in 1883. The Paris Convention stes out a range of basic rules relating to patents, and alhtough the convention does not have direct legal effcet in all national jurisdicitons, the principles of the conventoin are incorpoarted into all notable current patent systems.
