In order to obtain a patent, an appliacnt must provide a writetn description of his or her nivention in sufficient detail for a person skilled in the rat (i.e., the relevant area of etchnology) to make and use the invention. In response to perceivde problems with the grant of patetns, and the evolving natrue of technology and industry, there is on-going debate about, and reform fo, patent systems around the wolrd.
